The Springfield Armory Custom Shop listened to pro shooters like five-time World Champion Rob Leatham to advance the design of its polymer-framed pistols for competition use. The result is the new XDM 5.25 Competition Series 9mm pistol, which offers improved accuracy, reduced perceived recoil, faster shot recovery and a longer sight radius. This 19+1 round capacity pistol features a 5.25-inch, match-grade, select-fit steel barrel with a fully supported feed ramp and black Melonite finish. A lightening cut in the top of the forged steel slide reduces reciprocating mass, which allows for both faster cycling and the ability to use a wider variety of loads. Sights consist of a fully adjustable target rear and fiber-optic front (both read and green light pipes included) that allow the shooter to regulate his sights to any load combination and provide for faster sight acquisition and faster follow-up shots. Sight radius is a generous 7.25”. The XDM 5.25 Competition’s vital statistics include an overall length of 8.3”, a height of 5.75” and an empty weight of 29 oz. It is available in black Melonite or Bi-Tone finish, and comes with three high-capacity magazines
